Baby got Chicken Pox !! Oh No!!

Just reaching her 1st birthday and just come back from holiday, and baby got chicken pox! Ha, an unusual birthday gift!! we noticed some spot on her neck and thought they were allergic at first, but when more showed after few hour,we knew it was chicken pox,but at first doctor say it were allergic on my baby body. Most likely she contracted it from my little sister but it was too late as the doctor did say it has two weeks incubation period before the symptom showed.

Day 1  ~ She still can SMILE
Normally it would be too soon for a toddler to get chicken pox. the fever is usually the problem.
I chose not to vaccinate against chickenpox because it is considered a mild childhood illness and i think contracting the pox would help her immune system develop. This is because people get the chickenpox after they get vaccinated sometimes. They can even get the shingles later on in life, just as any other person who was exposed to the chickenpox, so i don't see it as beneficial.

Day 2

I put some lotion (calamine) + Virgin coconut oil

If there were vaccination against parasites, then I would not hesitate to vaccinate my daughter against them! The problem is that most of the things we vaccinate against are relatively mild childhood diseases that our ghrandparents lived through, and they certainly are a robust bunch aren't they? =) ^-^ v

Day 3

So in any event, I've been using coconut virgin oil lately for a variety of uses and my lil gal was crying and couldn't get comfortable so she sleep, sleeping is good as it would give her sufficient rest a give her body anti-virus mechanism to fight off the viral infection. i decided to apply coconut oil to his pox and within hours, they went away. Over the next several days, pox would appear and dissapear but the coconut oil kept them at bay. Furthermore,I also put the oil around her groin area (there was a band of pox right above her wee wee) >.< v

Apparently the coconut oil has a palliative effect on chickenpox. it did not seem to cure my gal of the pox. anyway baby is still very active, chirpy and cheerful despite the chicken pox and walking all over and putting her hands in places where she not suppose to do so!! if you didn't know better, you would have thought that baby didn't have chicken pox!!! ;-)

Day 4

Day 5
I am rambling but needless to say, coconut oil is the cure for all evil!!! hahahahah.... =))
